Can I put ads later on if I create a website with Wix now?
Introduction
Yes! You can add ads later on if you create a website with Wix now. Let's take a look at how this is done.
If you're looking to create a website and make money from it, it's natural to wonder what options you have for monetizing your website. One of the most common ways to earn revenue with a website is through advertising, so let's take a closer look at how you can put ads on your Wix site, how you can do it yourself, and how much money you can expect to make.
There are four ways of adding ads to your Wix site:
Upload the ad as an image and link to the relevant URL; Add Marketing Integrations; Use the Google AdSense app to display third-party ads; Use a Lightbox pop-up to display your ad.
Upload the ad as an image and link to the relevant URL

Uploading an image is easy enough. Just open up the Media gallery in your Wix Editor and select Upload an Image as the Media Type. You'll see a list of all of your existing images on Wix, which should include your logo if you've added one already. Choose one that looks good for this purpose and upload it—you can use GIFs too! Then click Save Changes at the bottom left of screen to save everything and move on with adding some text around it.
Add Marketing Integrations
Have you ever wondered if you can put ads on your Wix site later on? You can! It's easy to set up Google Ads remarketing and conversion tracking on your site. All it takes is a few simple steps:

Go to the "Site" menu and select "Sites" from the drop-down menu.
Go to Marketing Integrations in your site's dashboard.
Click "Connect" next to the site that you want to connect with Google Ads.
Click "Connect with Google Ads".
In the popup window, click "Authorize & Connect". (You'll need to be signed in to a Google account.)
Once authorized, click "Create Conversion Action" in the popup window and then click "+ New Conversion Action".
Give your conversion action a name, such as 'Purchased'. Then select one or more pages where users will see this conversion action appear after they click or view your Google ads. For example, if you'd like users who purchase items through your site to see this conversion action after they complete their order, select 'Purchase Confirmation Page' from the drop-down menu under 'Page'.
Once done entering information about this new conversion action, click
Use the Google AdSense app to display third-party ads

The Google AdSense app is a great way to add third-party ads to your site. It's easy to use and can be added to any page on your site.
Here's how you do it:
Create a Google AdSense Account. You'll need to provide some basic information before you can start adding ads to your site, including the name of your business, contact information, and the type of content you're creating (such as blogs or videos).
Create an Ad Unit and Generate an AdSense Code. Once you've created your account, you'll be able to create different ad units that will display on different parts of your site. To do this, navigate to "My Ads" in the left-hand menu under "Ads" in your dashboard and click on "Create New Ad Unit." Follow the steps provided by Google AdSense in order to generate an ad unit code for each unit that you want displayed on your site.
Modify the AdSense code by adding data-page-url="https://www.domain.com/" to the code. Be sure to replace "www.domain.com" with your own domain name.
Then, add the AdSense code to a blog post. To do that:
- Click Create a Post to start writing a blog post.
- Click the HTML icon at the bottom of the page .
- Click the Add HTML or URL icon .
- Select HTML Code .
- Paste the AdSense code you saved .
- Click Update
Use a Lightbox pop-up to display your ad
To do this, add a lightbox pop-up to display your ad.

First, click on the + sign in the upper left corner of your Wix editor and choose "Lightbox."
This will open up an assistant that walks you through adding a lightbox.
Next, set the lightbox trigger by clicking on the "Trigger" button in the upper right corner of the page. Choose whether or not to display your lightbox when someone clicks on an image or when they scroll down past a certain point on your page.
You'll also be able to customize how your lightbox looks and closes by clicking on the "Design" and "Close" tabs at the top of the page. You can customize things like background color or text color as well as choose whether or not your visitor has to click anywhere on your page before they are taken into your lightbox.
